Don't
let the "winter
blues" get you down!
The
latest light to cross my path is The SunBox Company's
bright light therapy
for seasonal depression and many other physical and mental
disorders (see list below).
Though
I live in sunny Southern California, I became interested
in the notion of seasonal
depression
and
SAD (Seasonal
Affective Disorder) because I've observed my own lethargy
during the darker days of winter and my tendency to focus
all my energy
and enthusiasm on the summer lying ahead, rather than enjoying
the winter months. Plus, I was intrigued to learn from
Neal Owens, the founder and CEO of The SunBox Company, that
bright light
therapy is also being tested and used successfully for
an ever-increasing list of other disorders
including clinical depression, PMS, jet lag, depression in
pregnancy and postpartum, bulimia, insomnia
and other sleep
disorders, to name a few.
We're
always interested in natural, non-drug treatments for
health
problems, so I researched this type of light therapy and
decided to add SunBox light boxes to our product line. These
top-quality bright lights are manufactured in the USA by
the company that's been the leader in the light therapy
industry since 1985. The units come with a 30-DAY
MONEY-BACK GUARANTEE, and a LIFETIME WARRANTY!

a super Halloween :-)

A
cure for the common cold?
This
cold-fighting program* might sound like a chore, but if it
eliminates a week or two of cold symptoms I think you'll
agree it's well
worth the trouble. I've tried it twice now, and it
worked
like a charm!
At
the FIRST SIGN of a cold (sore throat, sneezing, runny nose,
achy joints, or whatever your first clue is) start following
this plan, and continue until the symptoms have disappeared.
In my case this was JUST ONE DAY! Please let me know if it
works for you...
Every hour:
1) Take 40 drops or 1 capsule of echinacea, elderberry, or
andrographis (I use 1/2 teaspoon of Mother's Ginger Zinger
Immune syrup—it
contains both echinacea and
elderberry. Or try Early
Alert™ from Herbs, Etc.).
2) Take 500 mg Vitamin C. If ascorbic acid
gives you stomach
problems try ester C, or VITALITY
C™—an awesome supplement
that's tummy-friendly and readily absorbed. (see
www.light4beauty.com/VitalityC.html)
Every 2-3 hours:
3) Take 1 garlic tablet.
4) Drink 1 cup warm chicken broth (substitute vegetable
or miso broth if you're vegetarian).
5) Then suck on 1 zinc lozenge.

News Report Card: Pesticides in Produce
Adjusting your eating habits can lower
your intake of dangerous pesticides—sometimes dramatically
so. When organic is not available, you can choose fruits
and vegetables with
consistently
low pesticide loads by referring to The Shopper's Guide to
Pesticides in Produce. This handy guide ranks pesticide contamination
for 46 popular fruits and vegetables based on an analysis of
over 100,000 tests for pesticides on
these foods, conducted from 1992-2001 by the U.S. Department
of Agriculture and the Food and Drug Administration.

the safety of you and your loved ones, please read Our
Toxic World by Doris Rapp, MD I
was shocked at the unprecedented dangers posed by everyday
exposure to pesticides and other chemicals in our
environment. Dr. Rapp is board-certified in Environmental Medicine,
