Getting
the Ultimate Results from Your DPL System: A Helpful Hint
from our Customers
We
have heard from several customers that their anti-aging results
were enhanced and more rapid when they placed their DPL Therapy
System panels directly on their skin. One of the customers
said that she saw greater results within days of placing
the panels on her face rather than sitting in front of the device on its stand; and that she could feel the
collagen thickening under the surface. This method of application
is not suggested by the manufacturer for facial treatment,
but she thought that if it works for pain it should be fine
for wrinkles too. She says that her face looks fabulous now,
and she has been able to discontinue expensive Juvederm treatments.
The
stories we heard were so convincing that we decided to try it
ourselves. One of our Light 4 Beauty team members placed the
panels directly on her skin for nine minutes in the morning
and nine minutes at night; and she agrees that this does enhance treatment results. Give it a try, and let us
know if it works for you too!

CLARO...
the ultimate natural treatment
for acne
Solta Medical's CLARO
IPL device provides a simple, quick way to treat mild
to moderate acne with no lotions, creams, pills or doctor
visits. It is the only acne device on the market that uses
IPL technology, combining HEAT and LIGHT in a hand-held unit
that is safe for use at home or on-the-go. (see
device comparison)
Intense
Pulsed Light (IPL) Technology
Regarded
as one of the most important advancements in acne treatment,
IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) is a clinically-proven technology
that combines heat and pulsed blue and red light for fast, effective
spot treatment of inflammatory acne. Physicians have used IPL for
decades to treat acne; and clinical studies have shown that
IPL treatments are comparable, if not more effective, than prescription
antibiotics.
- The
CLARO is effective, safe and fast (6 to 12 seconds per treatment)
- Easy
to use and painless
- Portable,
battery-operated (rechargeable, 110-220v)

Which will work best for you—Nüve Blue or Claro?
If you have occasional pimples, the Claro should help improve the appearance and reduce the duration of individual blemishes. If you have many pimples, or other types of acne over a larger area of skin, the Nüve Blue should provide an ongoing reduction in new blemishes. |

Scented Products and Their Hidden Toxic Fumes
What's not on the label? Does
"green" really mean a product is environmentally
friendly? Does it mean it's healthy? Which ingredients are
missing from the label? Are you breathing toxic chemicals
when you use these products?
A
recent study
done by researchers from the University of Washington produced
results that we find alarming...
"Fragranced
consumer products are pervasive in society. Relatively little
is known about the composition of these products due to lack
of prior study, complexity of formulations, and limitations
and protections on ingredient disclosure in the U.S. [This
study] investigated volatile organic compounds (VOCs) emitted
from 25 common fragranced consumer products — laundry
products, personal care products, cleaning supplies, and air
fresheners...[The] analysis found 133 different VOCs
emitted from the 25 products, with an average of
17 VOCs per product. Of these 133 VOCs, 24 are classified
as toxic or hazardous under U.S. federal laws, and
each product emitted at least one of these compounds. For
“green” products, emissions of these compounds
were not significantly different from the other products.
Of all VOCs identified across the products, only 1
was listed on any product label."

The Story of Cosmetics, Annie Leonard, The Story
of Stuff Project Director, discusses the absence of regulatory
agencies for cosmetics and personal products. Less than 20%
of all chemicals in cosmetics have been reviewed for safety.
This short film explores the enormous amount of chemicals
that we, as consumers, are exposed to on a daily basis.
Although
this film is short in comparison to her other film, The
Story of Stuff, Annie packs it full of critical and alarming
information. It's a "must see" short video! This
piece does an excellent job of highlighting the things that
most consumers overlook when purchasing a personal care product.
