I became interested in light therapy several years ago when IPL (intense pulsed light) therapy was recommended to treat the rosacea that was causing an ugly case of adult acne that began to plague me in my early forties. A year or so later I encountered another form of light therapy when a physical therapist used an infrared LED light to treat a sciatic nerve problem that my mother was experiencing.
